Cary Workshop Location Change

August 8, 2019

Hello, Everyone!

There has been a change in venue for the workshop coming up this weekend in Cary. Just in case there are people who did not receive the information, I'm sending it out here as well. Below you will find the email we sent out announcing the change.

If you haven't signed up but would like to come it's not too late! Just email our valiant coordinator Janet at janetbe@gmail.com to register.

Take care and have a lovely evening!

In peace,

Hello, everyone!

We are just a few days away from the workshop coming up this weekend! Janet and I are excited to be putting on this event, and we look forward to seeing you there.

I am writing today to inform you that there has been a change of venue.

Originally, at the time we were setting up this event, we (that is, Janet) looked long and hard for a venue that would suit our needs perfectly--that would be quiet, spacious, conveniently located, and in an attractive setting--and didn't find one. When we finally settled on the farm in Apex, we felt good about it, but not completely satisfied with a few of the details. Then a couple days ago, unexpectedly and without intending to (that's so the way good things happen, isn't it?) Janet stumbled upon the perfect place. See what you think:

The new venue is called Raleigh Won Buddhism Meditation Center.  Please note this is their Raleigh location (don't go to their Chapel Hill location).  The Won Buddhism Meditation Center in North Raleigh sits in a quiet wooded parcel of land in the Fall's Lake area.

The Temple is served by two Buddhist Kyomunims, Rev. WonGong and Rev. Ginger.

We have decided to move the workshop from the farm to the temple. Hopefully this will not involve much inconvenience for you. The drive from Cary will be more or less the same, and those of you coming from Raleigh and Durham will have an easier time of it. It is conveniently located off I-540 (Six Forks Rd. Exit). Please let Janet know that you have received this email so that we can be sure everyone has information on the change. If for some reason you would like to cancel your reservation in the workshop because of the change, that's perfectly fine and we will refund your deposit.

Because of this change it will no longer be necessary for you to bring a meditation cushion or a blanket for the floor. The temple will provide these things for us.

Here is the address that you will need:

Thank you for your time with this, be well, and see you soon!

In peace,
