I'm writing today to update you on the retreat happening in the North Carolina mountains September 25-30.
I'm pleased to announce that I have a yoga teacher lined up for the event, and a very special teacher indeed! Her name is Christa Rypins. I've known and worked with Christa for over 23 years at this point. She taught yoga at the very first retreat I attended as a young man. Later, after I entered the monastery, Christa moved to a nearby town in order to establish a movement studio (which includes a physical counseling/healing practice), to teach the monks, and to participate in the monastery offerings. She is an absolute wizard, in my experience. She knows and understands more about human anatomy and body mechanics than anyone else I've met. I feel inexpressibly pleased and excited that Christa will bring her gifts and her vast experience to the retreat in September. As I envision things right now, Christa will offer two classes a day, one for beginners and one for non-beginners. I know we will learn a ton from her, and in a way that will complement the spiritual and psychological work we'll be doing in the workshop sessions.

The response to this retreat offering has been outstanding! I'm deeply grateful to all of you who have chosen to give yourself the gift of this retreat. If you've been on the fence and would like to join, let me know! At this point all the indoor spots are taken, but there are some outdoor spaces still available. It's possible either to stay in a tent or to bring a camper or RV to stay in on the property (without hookups). If you are interested in being put on a waiting list for an indoor spot, or if you would like to tent or stay in a camper, just shoot me an email and let me know.
While I have you, I'll also mention that I'm setting up an event in Pittsburgh, PA the weekend following the retreat, with the assistance of two generous souls who live there. There will be a public talk the evening of Friday, October 5, followed by a two-day workshop that Saturday and Sunday, the 6th and 7th. I'll pass along the event titles and other details as they are created. If you'd like to attend just let me know and I'll put you in contact with the event organizers.
Thanks to all of you, as always, for your generous support and encouragement. I love you all and feel so very grateful for your presence in my life. Thank you also for spreading the word about the work that I do. The one-on-one work is growing simply through word of mouth, and I'm grateful for all your referrals.
Take good care of yourselves, all of you, and be well!
